El Plan de Transferencia, Intercambio y Gestión de Conocimiento para el Desarrollo de la Cooperación Española en América Latina y el Caribe —INTERCOONECTA—, que ha puesto en marcha la Agencia Española de Cooperación Internacional para el Desarrollo (AECID), es una decidida apuesta estratégica institucional para llevar a cabo una cooperación intensiva en el fortalecimiento de capacidades institucionales mediante la transferencia y el intercambio de conocimiento.

Virtual water marketplace soon to be developed

The European Union has recently financed a project called WaterInnEu which aim is to develop a marketplace capable of handling products and knowledge deriving from European projects relating to water and connecting them to users, businesses, and managers who could benefit from their use.
 
Through WaterInnEU, it is hoped that tools, protocols, and data produced by European research can be standardised, provided via open access, and that they are transferred to actors in the water management sector with decision-making power, or that they penetrate into the market

These and other elements of the project were presented and discussed at the BeWater Steering Committee meeting, which took place in Brussels from 4 – 6 February 2015.
