Crean asociación de cuencas hidrográficas en el Salvador

La Comisión Económica para América Latina y el Caribe (CEPAL) declaró el año pasado que El Salvador es el país de América Central con un nivel de estrés hídrico grande. En busca de revertir ese problema se lanza la Asociación de Cuencas Hidroeléctricas de El Salvador (ACITE) que busca crear alianzas con el gobierno e instituciones involucradas en el manejo integral de las cuencas.

El Ministerio de Medio Ambiente y Recursos Naturales (MARN) trabajará de la mano de los miembros de la mesa permanente que se ha creado. “Hemos trabajado con ellos, y lo vamos a seguir haciendo. Son ellos los promotores y promotoras para poder incidir en la calidad de agua que tenemos”, expresó Lina Pohl, viceministra del MARN.
